today mom took kai and i on a tour around the secondhand stores of Tucson and to a couple stores to look for the ingredients for the curry i made this evening. a cashier recommended to us what turned out to be a really nice oriental market (the one mom knew about smells like poo) so if anybody needs creamed mudfish i know where to find it. I'm regretting not buying youkan, i probably could have claimed it was for the curry.
